This PowerPoint lasts for 20 minutes and explain to students how to contact teachers and staff via the internet. This helps students understand the importance of online etiquette and how to communicate with teachers. It can be used as an assembly, as part of a lesson, a tutor time resource or as a guide on an online platform. This is suitable for students aged 11-18.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time resource about emotional literacy. It has discussion questions and no written tasks. It contains two downloaded videos so they will never disappear and includes a quick overview of the meaning of emotional literacy and how this can be developed. There is a final reflection question to debate as a class. This was originally a Year 8 tutor time PSHE session but can be used for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18) as a whole school presentation.
This is a 15 minute presentation which was originally a KS3 and KS4 PSHE session for tutor time. It could be used as an assembly or a standalone quick look at how to care for the elderly in the community. It contains two youtube clips downloaded so they will never disappear, some information and a class discussion question that pupils can think about for a plenary. It also includes a small section on child carers and the intergenerational care home idea from the news. It focuses on why we should help the elderly and can contribute to the new RSE and Health Curriculum as well as the existing PSHE and Citizenship, SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Values education.
This is a 15 minute assembly exploring the role of UNICEF in the world. It has three downloaded videos that will never disappear about their work. There is some more information and discussion activities. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 8 and does not have any written tasks. It can be used for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and forms part of the Keeping Safe in Education Safeguarding guidance, the new RSE & Health Curriculum and the current PSHE and Citizenship criteria. It is a quick snapshot of the work of UNICEF most suitable for an assembly or tutor time but can be lengthened to last a whole lesson and a wider audience. Students reacted very well to this resource and it evoked important discussions.
This is a 20 minute session which can be used as an assembly, a PSHE or Citizenship tutor time session or could be easily shortened and it can easily last 60-90 minutes if required focusing on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia (originally created on 30th January 2022 but fully updated on 25th February 2022). It was originally being used for a Citizenship tutor time News session. This is suitable for KS3 - KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-13). This is useful for pastoral leaders, PSHE leads, SLT or anyone that is putting together an assembly rota, bulletin, calendar or diary for the academic year starting September 2023.
It includes cultural, religious, personal, health and social awareness days and has been triple checked for accuracy. I have pulled together all of the dates so you won’t find a more comprehensive diary anywhere. This will be a document that is updated as more dates are added next year or there are any changes.

It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. This is a 15 minute assembly on Sexism and Gender Inequality. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10 but is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers what sexism is and whether it is still an issue in the UK. It includes three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear! It covers sexism in the workplace, what feminism is and some statistics about sexism in the UK. It has discussion activities and no written tasks. It could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson with longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and works towards addressing sexual harassment and inequality in society.
This is a 15 minute assembly, tutor time or PSHE session to share with students in Years 7-13 (KS3, KS4 & KS5 Ages 11-18). It has a downloaded video of newsround clip suitable for all students and explains a snapshot of the situation in Afghanistan. This was originally a whole school assembly narrated but you can easily delete the narration by deleting the icon on each slide. It includes a brief history of the area, key information about the Taliban and Afghanistan, discussion questions, a reflection and a slide connecting it to British Values. It also contains suitable links on the last slide for students to explore more about this topic if they wish. There are no written tasks in this PowerPoint but could easily be turned into an hour’s Citizenship or PSHE lesson if needed.
